Hello all! :D

Can helico_expert or someone please explain how exactly H. Pylori causes differing levels of gastritis severity?

I'd like to know why some people can have no problems, some people can heal quickly with only mild symptoms, and why some people can have moderate to severe levels of gastritis because of the same bacteria.

Thank you!

It's the immune response that leads to different disease outcome.
Just like COVID-19. Not everyone will die. Some will have no symptom, some has mild symptoms, and some may have severe symptoms. It's all based on what immune response you produce, and your repair capability.
similar to COVID-19, usually the younger you are, the better the recovery.

Thanks for the response!

So, does that mean that the more significant the immune response, the more significant the severity of the gastritis? Level of gastritis severity is directly proportional to how responsive your immune system is?

yes. the more active your immune response is, the more severe is the gastritis.
