After my first failed therapy with amoxiciline , metronidazole and clarytromicine my doctor gave me Pylera but after one day of treatment I almost died I went to the hospital because I had severe panic attacks and I can’t do anything my kidneys was hurting me a lot It’s like an allergic reaction or something like that it was very severe and very very bad experience, I stopped it immidiately !
Did anyone had the same reaction with Pylera ?
I don’t know what should I do now my doctor asked me to do another tritherapie with amoxiciline and levoflaxacine but I became paranoid of antibiotics now because of Pylera
Is levoflaxacine is also strong as Pylera ?
I’m not afraid of amoxicilline because I have taken it many times before and I had never a bad reaction expect diarreha
But I don’t know anything about levoflaxacine, please I need opinions !!

i am afraid everyone react differently to antibiotics. Levofloxacin is another class of antibiotics.

Pylera contains PPI + Bismuth + tetracycline + metronidazole.

It's good that you can tolerate amoxicillin well. perhaps you can ask your doctor to give you bismuth on top of that too. Bismuth should be pretty safe.

So.. you can try PPI + Bismuth + Amoxicillin + Levofloxacin

I was just on Pylera for the whole 10 days. I didn’t have an adverse reaction like that. I drank lots of water. Everyone is different. Pylera did cause some dizziness and sensations at times and I could see how that could trigger panic.
