Male 45 yo. November 2017 vomited after eating beef at a restaurant.
December 2017, while eating smoked mackerel fish developed globus feeling in the throat. Had three ENT visits and nothing found.
Blood were normal, throat CT scan normal.
Developed anxiety and insomnia end of December 2017.
Had 10 days of antibiotics in January 2018. Symptoms temporary improved.
was put on anti-anxiety medication mid January and anti-depressant-anti-anxiety in early February.
GI endoscopy in January 2018, h.pylori detected.
In February had pylera for 10 days. Breath test 1 month later still positive.
Triple therapy in May, and breath test 1 month later in June 21 was negative.

Symptoms were improving (anxiety disappeared , globus feeling gone, and was able to sleep better) and I thought I am done.
What persisted, since the triple therapy is lots of gass, especially 1-2 hours after eating and after 2 am.
Also insomnia is getting worse, back to 2-3 hours of sleep and unable to sleep again after waking up.

I ordered a stool test kit for pylori https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FX ... UTF8&psc=1
to double check that somehow pylori is not back. IS it possible for this gas and digestive issues to persist 3 months after completing the threatment?

Also, wanted to ask if anyone has any suggestion for other tests to run to rule out additional causes to my insomnia and digestive issues.
I am thinking that perhaps I might have some other parasites beside h.pylori.

Thank you!!!!

I assume your tests for H. pylori were done correctly. I think it will be hard for H. pylori to come back.

In regards to the gas, i think it's because your gut bacteria has been wiped clean and is growing back unbalanced. you probably need some probiotics to help with that.

Are these home test kits the same accurate as the ones done at a labratory?

many home test kits are not as accurate. it is better that the test is done by the professional who does it everyday.
