Hi,
I tested positive for HP and now on triple treatment today is the third day. I have lost over 50 kilos in the last four months due to loss of appetite. Since I started triple treatment my tonge tastes really bitter with bad smell. I can’t eat due to wiered food taste with continuous tiredness and low energy levels any suggestions on how to overcome this bitter tongue taste?

It's a common side effect of clarithromycin. Some people are more sensitive to it. I a not sure how you can get rid of the taste. maybe try something bitter?

Yup, I had the same effects when I was on triple therapy.
The metallic horrific taste in my mouth was nasty, especially when laying down. I chewed gum all day and even when sleeping, lol.
I had a glass of water by my bed too. I could never take that taste away. However,I just finished all my meds 2 days ago and the taste has not been back. Thank you baby Jesus!!

Just take the meds it will be all worth it at the end.

Thanks for sharing this interesting articles. However, similar studies have shown many times that they work in vitro (in laboratory), but never work in vivo (in the human body).

Nevertheless, since there is no harm, you can try if you like.

Today is my 3rd day since I completed my first triple treatment, however, I still have weird bad taste on tongue I just continue to wipe my tongue with napkins to remove the saliva due to bad taste.
Second major problem is the loss of appetite though I keep trying to overcome this issue to no use.

I hope to read some ideas or share experiences.

it'll take a few days for the taste to go away.

it actually reminded you that you have the antibiotics in your saliva, killing bacteria in your mouth.

and you can monitor how many days it take for the antibiotics to go out your system.

Update till today I can’t tolerate any food taste and thus not able to eat since I completed triple treatment last Sunday. I’m just wondering usually how long does it take to be able to resume eating. It’s really not pleasant road

hmm usually about 3-5 days. if concern, you may need to contact your doctor.
