Should I take it after I wake up and before I eat anything? And again before dinner?

Or is it okay to just take it at the same time as I take the antibiotics?

Also, can I take a multivitamin with iron during my antibiotics course?

Just spread it evenly across the day. The PPI does not act on acid. The PPI act on the acid secreting cells. So as the PPI dose build up in your blood stream, the acid production decreases. So it is important to maintain the PPI level in the blood.

I was told to take my PPI after my treatment for one week. Is this ok to do ?

ya. PPI is very safe. Some people take it for many years.

YES. must take PPI with antibiotics. The stomach is too acidic and the antibiotics will not work without PPI.

Which PPI are you given? Usually higheR PPI dose gives better outcome. We give double the standard dose.

I have pantoprazole SOD 40mg. It’s says one tablet daily

40mg once a day is fine. even twice a day is also ok. the key is really to suppress the acid as much as possible to boost antibiotic efficacy.
