On triple therapy but still in pain

Hi all, I've been reading this forum for awhile now since I was diagnosed with H Pylori, and it's been a huge help. Basically I'm on the 14 day triple therapy regiment, and I've noticed that while it's helped reduce symptoms on most days (i.e. bloating, sharp stomach pain, and indigestion), I also have really bad days where the symptoms feel worse than before I started the treatment. Diarrhea is another symptom that I occasionally get (every few days). Taking a Zantac seems to help alleviate the symptoms, but they typically return. I'm currently on day 13 of 14, and will be taking a PPI medication for 4 weeks after (as I also have a stomach ulcer).
Any advice on how to proceed or whether these side effects/symptoms are common?
Thanks, your help is greatly appreciated!

these side effects are very common. some people also experience metallic taste in the mouth and darker urine.
If you are diagnosed with ulcer, you'll need to take continue PPI for at least a month. That will give time for your ulcer to heal.
Some members in this forum try probiotics or herb tea to control the side effects. Maybe you can try that.

Thanks Helico_Expert. I'm currently taking a probiotic supplement, as well as eating yogurt daily, and taking pantoprazole for 4 weeks to treat my ulcer.
Also, yesterday was my last day on the 14 day triple therapy, and this morning I'm still having bloating/cramps. Do these symptoms continue after treatment before disappearing?

From my experience its useless.
I had a pretty bad case and its now gone and to be frank these did absolutely nothing to me, neither did DGL and other bullcrap.
Also i know that still having pain an yet being on medication can feel disarming, i had a duodenal ulcer and it took me about 2 weeks AFTER the antibiotics to feel
a bit better.
Healing takes time, even if helicobacter is gone or disappearing the damage your stomach suffered is here and its not as fast as your skin to heal up, its slow and sometimes flares up depending on your stress levels, the way you sit ( yes i noticed some postures will make the pain greater...)...
After your triple therapy is done expect 4 week ( on ppi ) before you'll really feel better ( yet not perfect ). For some people its even slower ( and don't forget to confirm the eradication).

Thanks shid0x, it's definitely frustrating when it takes so long to feel better. I just want to feel "normal" again, and would do pretty much anything to make that happen. Sick of being sick.

So it's been about 3 and a half weeks since I finished the antibiotics, and I'm still having some stomach cramps, bloating, burping, and fatigue. I also notice I have some white overgrowth on my tongue as well, and I have little appetite (eating about half as much as before). Is this normal?

Some people does take longer time to heal. It is important to make sure your H. pylori is completely eradicated. Then you can focus on the healing.

You should be patient enough if you ask me. Few people need more time to get healed and I feel you are one of them. My cousin who works for a
Mississauga chiropractors, told me that genetic makeup of every person is different and response to a treatment can vary too!

Just wanted to post an update. Got my breath test results back today and the results were negative (thank God!). Been feeling much better the last week or so, still have some mild bloating and cramps but generally am starting to feel normal again. Continuing a relatively strict diet, but am starting to add in healthy fats (e.g. olive oil). Hopefully this trend continues!

I just finished my treatment and I feel the same. I wonder if I should just do another treatment instead of waiting 4 weeks for breath/stool test.
