One of my symptoms is a really discusting sour bitter taste in my mouth all the time! I don't get any reflux so not sure what it is? Does none else get this symptom?? Thank you

interesting symptom. never heard of. Do you know if you are positive of H. pylori? have you taken treatment?

Hello, I have had 2 treatments for triple therapy but I have not actually had a re test yet! My doctor just assumed it was still there as I still have all my usual symptoms. I'm am going for my endoscopy in a few hours and if it is still there then they will hopefully take biopsies and do sensitivity test before choosing my next course of antibiotics. Luckily I live in the uk so it doesn't cost me anything! Otherwise I would be broke! I want to thank you again for this fantastic forum and taking the time to read and reply to people questions. I will update you with my results later!

Another thing is bile reflux (reflux of bile from the duodenum into the stomach and from there up to the mouth), which can feel much like acid reflux, but often has more disgusting and bitter taste.

Two other obvious reasons for bad mouth are antibiotics, like ampicillin or metronidazole, and other medications, and yeast overgrowth in mouth (oral candida or oral thrush with white spots in mouth) after prolonged antibiotic treatment. Gum disease, salivary glands disorders and many other mouth conditions can also cause bad taste.

The symptoms may vary from individual to individual. How often do you feel the bitterness? Does it occur after having the medicines?
