Would appreciate it if some one might know the answer.

My questions are 1) Can the antibiotics cause longer term effects like abdominal pain? and 2)when the digestive system is disrupted by HP does it affect the large intestine )(lower bowel), 3) how long does it take to get the digestive system back to normal after treatment. It has been 2.5 months post treatment. thanks wil

1) antibiotics may cause Ulcerative colitis, which lead to abdominal pain. You need to talk to a specialist.
2) HP only affect stomach. No scientific evidence have shown any downstream effect by HP. Nevertheless, some scientists is trying to proof that the secreted toxin may flow down from stomach into intestine and cause problem there.
3) the recovery is very subjective. Some people feel good immediately after the treatment. Some people take up to 6 months.

For your case, I think you better talk to a specialist.
