HI all,

I am Ronald from the Netherlands and I have a question. I was diagnosed with HP last December (after having very bad heartburn after eating and drinking wine) and treated with the triple therapy. In march I still had some heartburn so a gastroscopy was executed and all seemed fine!!. I only have heartburn now when I eat pizza or grilled cheese . Overall I am doing OK with some belching once in a while.

The only problem which seems to last is those irritating gurgling sounds when swallowing and lying down in bed. I had these sounds directly after the eradication of the HP so also during the gastroscopy.


Does anyone know if this will go away eventually or should I take any action? Thank you all for your time and have a great day

I have just completed the 7-day triple therapy two days ago and am experiencing gurgling sound after a meal and when laying down. It can get pretty loud too. I am wondering the same as Ronald. Will the gurgling sound go away on its own? Thanks!

I have heard similar stories from our patients. Some of them mention that the "gurgling" sound subsided after a while. Hopefully it's because the stomach is adjusting itself to a bacteria free state.

A lot of people have the gurgling even without the treatment. Has it gotten any better?

The gurgling sounds from my stomach have disappeared It went on for about a week after the triple therapy.
