it could be yeast. if it's not causing you other problem, you can ignore it.

The side pain is probably due to enlargement of lymph node. Give yourself a week or two to recover. Remember to update us your follow up test result.

So I've finally got my referral, but it's not for another 7 weeks. Over the past two weeks my burning stomach pain has subsided a lot, but I get a real bad pain in the middle of my very lower abdominal area. I've also had a bout of bad trapped gas. Unfortunately today I've got the dreaded diarrhea again, which is made worse by the fact that I'm two hours into a 12 hour night shift.
All this coupled with my raised calprotectin levels makes me more inclined to agree with my GPs suspicions of inflammatory bowel disease

ouch. IBS/IBD is not fun. your last post mentioned that you'll ask for HP test. Did you manage to get it?

I've not requested a follow up pylori test as my GP seems set against it. When I have my appointment with the specialist I'll request it then.
I ended up leaving my shift last night after a few hours and went home ill. It's the first sick day I've ever taken. I've seen a different GP today who has prescribed me mebeverine to try and help me through to my appointment with the specialist.
However I'm on nights tonight and tomorrow, so will see how it goes.

Thanks for the update. Nevertheless, H. pylori does not cause diarrhea. Hopefully your IBS/IBD problem will go away soon.

So the Mebeverine didnt have any noticeable difference, so i went back to my GP (not my usual useless one, but the one who gave me the Mebeverine and seems to want to help). He's given me Buscopan to take, which has made a slight difference. I had roughly 4 days last week where i felt amazing and was ready to take on the world. However im not feeling great at the moment, but that might be because im working nights again at the moment, which seems to screw up my digestive timings.
However, whilst in my appointment, i mentioned that i'd still not been re-tested for pylori, and he agreed that this should be done.
The good news is that my stool sample came back as negative, so i'm free of pylori.
The bad news is that i still have no idea what is causing all these symptoms.
