i mean, you have suffered this since 2009 (maybe longer) and maybe, this antibiotic sensitivity test can suggest the doctor to give you the antibiotics with mildest side effects. and maybe getting rid of H. pylori once and for all can restore your quality of life.
no I don't think this diarrhea is triggered by antibiotic sensitivity. I had this problem before I knew I had H Plori and before I even took any antibiotics. I'm sure I can rule that out.

i am sorry. Antibiotic sensitivity test is meant for the bacteria. to find out exactly what the H. pylori is sensitive and resistance to. So you can be given the most effective antibiotic combination to kill it.

I didn't know that H Pylori bacteria is unique? I'll ask my doctor to test for antibiotics sensitivity tests. And how would they go about testing it? Do they have to get into my stomach and do a biopsy or can they just take it from some stool samples? I don't want to go back and do another colonoscopy.

Funny thing is I, the specialists (2 of them) have told me that H Pylori does not give one diarrhea but I"m now seeing the same syptoms in my wife!

yea, H. pylori doesnt give diarrhea. However, it may indirectly change your guts flora which then give you diarrhea.

to do antibiotic sensitivity test, you'll have to go for an endoscopy. The specialist will have to get the biopsy out and give to a experienced laboratory to culture the bacteria. And then, test the antibiotic sensitivity.

H. pylori is very unique. i can write a thesis to explain how unique it is.

for example. everyone has a unique H. pylori strain. you and your family may have the exact same type of skin bacteria. or you and everyone in the town may have the same type of E. coli. but H. pylori mutate so quickly that EVERYONE has different strain.

Hey, certainly it's not cheap, but for people who have no the insurance il would be cheaper to go in France. Moreover it's quite good pretext to visit France. Anyway prices in France are lower than in germany. Another point it's quality, i would newer go for surgery in a poor country even if they promise me the best clinic ever. IMHO

Is there another way to test for this antibiotic sensitivity test instead of endoscopy? I just had one in Nov last year. The specialists found that I had mild gastritis and duodenitis and suspected that I had H Pylori so he tested with UBT and confirmed positive.

Is it possible to do it using stools?

there is very little success with stool. only a handful of lab in the world has successfully culture H. pylori from stool.

I think the best way is to get it through endoscopy.

Hi Breakfreerut,

Sorry for the late reply, I haven't been on here for ages. Initially, I took Mastic Gum for a natural H Pylori treatment. I purchased it on ebay directly from Greece. I used it for 3 months to be sure I was over the H Pylori and the dreadful drilling pain in my stomach stopped.

I still had some symptoms but they weren't the same, the pain was different and not as severe. Then the gastroscopy indicated Strep. Penicillin made my stomach feel worse, Erythromycin helped a bit. But I still didn't feel 100%. So I got the FMA (Faecal Microbial Analysis) done through BioScreen Australia in Melbourne. That indicated a few other nasties in my stomach and that some of my good bacteria was low.

I was regularly having prebiotic Sauerkraut and Kefir, plus taking IBS Support capsules. Yet still I wasn't 100%, the pains were all through my GI tract, I felt like a whinger and a wimp.

Then one day, I couldn't even eat breakfast, I just had a coffee instead of food. A friend shared an article on Facebook the link went to a site outside of Facebook, I read that about the same time or after drinking my coffee. The article was about coffee causing gastric inflammation, and I guess I didn't want to believe it at first, but that day was the worst day since the Mastic Gum had dealt with the H Pylori. I tried cutting down on my coffee (addiction) in the end I couldn't bear the pains any longer... was it Crohn's? Gall Bladder? Appendicitis? The pains were everywhere and getting worse. Everywhere the caffeine inflammation was spreading and killing my from the inside. I lost over 16kg in under 12 months.

I totally quit drinking coffee 3 months ago. Now I am eating more foods and feeling less pain. Not yet sure if I am still losing weight, will find out when I see my GP in May. I'm having to eat every 2 - 3 hours because of hunger pangs. I think that my stomach just got so raw and damaged that maybe I am suffering from malabsorption.

Before I read the article about coffee, one of my doctors (both are at the same practice) freaked out when she read the FMA results. She just referred me to a Gastroenterologist for a colonoscopy and yet another gastroscopy. I knew that wasn't the answer. After I quit drinking coffee and started feeling better I spoke to my other doctor who wasn't quite as freaked out about the FMA results. I asked her if blood tests could be done to ascertain what I was lacking (BioScreen report also had some recommendations) and first results are that my Folate was low, so I am on a low dose of that tab. Other blood test results due soon.

I'm almost back to a normal diet now. Just not having too much animal fat, so it's a lot of lean meat and go easy on the yoghurt because my E-Coli is still low (it's beneficial in the bowel) and perhaps the Strep is still causing some IBS bloating and pain symptoms when I have yoghurt. I can even eat lollies again, but not too many as I was told that I am pre-diabetic.

I am still doing my best to balance the gut microbiome, so that it defeats the strep naturally, by having no rubbish processed foods, lots of good organic food, coconut water, sauerkraut and sometimes I use Monte Morillonite clay for minerals, CoQ10 supplement. I've not yet had much gluten free flour so I don't know how my stomach is with starchy foods. I am ok with potatoes and most other veg.

I'm delighted that I am feeling much better and not dying like I was last year. Getting the FMA test done was so worth it, even though it is not yet covered by Medicare and it is expensive, it helped to save my life.

All the best.

What is the lists of natural treatments that you have used?
I'm alergic to Erythomycin and all of its family and I'm very limited to the medications that are available.
Like you, I was shocked that the prescriptions costs over $300 and I didn't proceed with it.
I was prescribed by the centre of digestive diseases the 2nd line of treatment but after I read about the side effects I was put off, not to mention the price tag too!

I've been doing some research may main natural treatment is , brocolli, apple cider vinegar, 20mg of red wine a day, olive leaf extract, celery..
like you I've completely avoided sugars, soy, and all gluten (flour, breads etc.)

Could you share your list of natural treatments?

I just returned from my UBT tests and I've got 68 counts, slightly above the normal 50.
Very encouraging results after having completed my course of antibiotics:
1) Nexium 20mg (30)
2) Metronidazole 500mg (21)
2) Levofloxacin 500mg (20)

I also did a 3rd stool test, this time the doctor ordered miliplex PCR and got back results positive for dientamoeba fragilis and prescribed another lot of antibiotics called doxycycline (100mg) tabs for 10 days after which I will do a stool retest.

My 1 year mystery for my morning diarrhoea is about to end! I sure hope so.
