2 weeks is the earliest. But the longer you wait, the more accurate the result will be. So we normally recommend 1 month.

Got my endoscopy done last week and the results came back with moderate gastritis but no H. Pylori present!!! But I wanted to know, could probiotics (10 billion microflora) interfere with my biopsy I had done for my H. Pylori test???

probiotic is such a broad term. Probably most of them wont interfere with the result, but probably some may. Nevertheless, it depends on how the endoscope determine you are negative of HP. By rapid urease test or histology? I think when you are taking some supplement, then a histology is probably more accurate than rapid urease test.

It was done via microscope so I’m assuming histology test.

Then, depending on the type of gastritis, if it is active gastritis, then it's a hint that maybe there is still HP. if it is non active gastritis, then there is no HP.

On my Results, it said “Microscopic Exam Performed. All controls were reviewed and showed appropriate positive and negative reactivity.”

hmm.. not sure what microscopic test they have done. you can always reconfirm the test later on by doing breath or stool test.

It was a histology that was performed.
