Thanks for sharing your story. To be honest, it's hard to treat if you dont know what's causing it. I suppose there is no harm trying the manuka honey and mastic gum. But, I think it is better to talk to a specialist to find out what happened. Perhaps you are allergic to certain food, eg. gluten, lactose, sulfur, etc.

Since I am a specialist of Helicobacter pylori, may I know what test did you do that give you a negative result? did you take any medication 7 days before the test?

Thanks for such a quick response. I took a barium swallow test and everything came back negative (though he said I had one very small dueodenum ulcer but it was nothing serious to be concerned about) I also took a stool sample which came back negative for h.pylori and e.coli, I also took blood and a breath test where I had to blow air into a bag to see if there was any present bacteria and both blood and breath test came back negative. I did not take any medication 7 days before all of these tests were done. After taking all of those tests my doctor pretty much brushed the situation off and said I was fine and healthy (which I know I'm not, just from how I feel on a day to day basis) Some days I feel okay at times but I can't go a full day without my stomach feeling nervous and it's starting to take over my life to be honest! I'm active and healthy but that still doesn't erase all the symptoms, I think I might just try the Manuka honey.. I can't feel much worse right? :P

I your doctor did a thorough check for the presence of H. pylori and it's truly not there. Another reason for duodenal ulcer is because of NSAIDs. Have you been taking ibuprofen or aspirin or related pain killers? I know some people are taking them in small dose to prevent heart diseases and stroke.

I rarely ever take ibuprofen or painkillers, the only time I ever take it is for a bad migraine which is very rare. Honestly can't even remember the last time I took one.

Your case will fall into the mystery special case. Non-H. pylori and non-NSAIDs doudenal ulcer case. Your doctor interested in finding out why? like... send your biopsy to certain research institute?

Hello guys, I just want to share my story about hpylori. It started two years ago with slight pain in the stomach, only in the morning. Tried acid reducers and didn't help. I did endoscopy: chronic gastritis, no ulcer and h pylori was positive. Took triple therapy for two weeks and things got a lot worse. I had all sorts of pain after taking antibiotics, bloating, discomfort and heart burn. I had none of these symptoms before the therapy. The h pylori came back negative after 1 month but the symptoms are still there. Did ultrasound and things were ok. I still suffer from stomach discomfort and burning everyday for the last 2 years. I visited another Dr and he told me he cant explain and he does not suggest any treatment. the only thing that makes me feel better is having big meals 3 times a day! Has anyone had similar problems after eradicating h pylori? I feel I'm the only one "(. any help is appreciated

2 Years after the treatment is a long time. especially you have got confirmation that H. pylori has been eradicated. But I think the good news is that endoscopy did not see any abnormality. so it's probably not serious. However, the pain has definitely impacted on your quality of life. Have you done ultrasound to check gall stone? it's probably not, as the pain will be very sharp. Nevertheless, it'll be good to rule that out.

Thank you for your reply. yes I did abdominal ultrasound and no abnormalities were found other than a little fatty liver. I'm still confused about the cause of my symptoms. Since the antibiotics made me worse I conclude that hpylori was not the reason for my symptoms. Does it mean I have to change my diet? My symptoms are a little different than most of the people. I dont have nausea and the more I eat the better I feel.
