I am certainly no expert, but based on my personal experience with h. pylori, panic attacks were definitely linked. In fact, when I saw my GP prior to my actual diagnosis, she prescribed two different anti-anxiety medications. No wonder it made me feel 100x worse . Since it has been eradicated (I hope, anyway) the symptoms and feelings of panic and heavy fear have disappeared.
