Thank you again for your quick response! I got a couple other questions. So I gave up smoking for 3 weeks now not sure how cigarettes and h.pylori are connected but my doctors advised me to quit maybe because of the ulcer and not sure if I had an ulcer to begin with since I never gotten a endoscopy done. Could it be that I just had h.pylori and not an ulcer? I’m a little confused between the two and I haven’t touched any alcohol since I usually have like 2 or so a day not much. Good news is that my triple treatment is done today will it be ok to have a couple beers?

studies have found association of H. pylori and carcinogens (eg. smoking) can increase gastric cancer risk.

Anyway, we know that smoking causes other health problems too. So it's probably a good thing to quit. The good news is, yes you can have a couple of beers after treatment.

Thank you Helico_expert! I finished my treatment a day ago starting to feel a lot better now. Should I still continue to take the ppi’s? Or just take when needed?

PPI is very safe. you can continue if it makes you feel better. But PPI is slow acting. So you might have to take continuously to feel the effect. If you want fast acting one, you can try ranitidine. Ranitidine doesnt stay in your body long. So you can continue ranitidine until the night before your follow up breath test a month later.

After HP7 medicine taken upto 2 month its was ok. After 15 days endoscopy done no inflammation found and it is normal. After month I checked stool sample and its negative. But after two month all symptoms are come back and started burning, chest pain and blood coming 5 to 6 times a day. Curently I am taking omeprozole 20mg morning and night.What I can do next? or how to proceed ? what will be the problem ?

it's not common to have the symptoms come back if it is true HP eradication. Nevertheless, if omeprazole works, you can try that for a week or two. perhaps gradually change to ranitidine and do another breath test to confirm the eradication.

Ranitidine is an acid blocker and you can continuously take it until the night before breath test.

Omeprozole not working for me and I was taking past one month. Ranitidine How much dose I have to take and how many times a day and how many days I have to continue. Blood coming increases day by day and looks red color.

there are many other brands of PPI. Our favorite is Rabeprazole. give that a try. Ask your pharmacist for instruction.
