good to know probiotic works for you. I think this is burping and low acid thing is a poorly understood area. But, if your stomach is not acidic enough, I do believe that any organism that you swallow from your mouth or bacteria that grow upwards from your intestine, will be able to survive. Perhaps the probiotics have an positive effect on these diverse environment.

Hi Helico_expert,

i actually stopped the probiotics. i had a consult with another doctor because the burping was constant and would not stop. he gave me Zirid, which i take 15 min before eating and i have to say that for 1 week of taking it, i have no burping at all.

the last symptom left is the nervousness when i get hungry. i cannot explain how bad i feel if i do not eat something. i feel nausea and it is as if i am about to lose it... i hae to stuff myself with whatever i find..... is this a symptom of h.pylori still present? anyone else have this symptom?

The best way to find out if you are still infected is via Breath test. Nevertheless, thank you for sharing the information on Zirid.

Hi Helico_Expert,

I take the Zirid 3 times a day 15 min before meals and it worked for me very well.
regarding the test, the doctor told me that i should go in for a breath test in the beginning of december.
isn't it too soon for a test? i stopped the Nexium on 30 October and i am currently only taking the Zirid. how much time is ok to pass before i do the breath test?

You have to wait 3 to 4 weeks after your treatment before you can do a new test.So beginning of December sounds good

Hi All,

i did a stool test and the result was negative, the number was 0.02 g/ml (not sure about the metrics but the number is exact).
however, we did a barium swallow test and it turned out that i had a cascade stomach (cup-and-spill stomach) which was causing the constant burping and stomach pains. doc said i had to continue taking zirid 3 times a day and he said this cascade would get fixed by itself.

is there anybody familiar with this? is there anything i can do to fix my stomach?

by Eva C,
Hi All,
I am Eva. I have H. Pillory 4-5 y. and it makes me a lot of troubles. I cant solve the problem cause I am allergic to Amoxicillin and extremely sensitive to and Clarithromycin and Flagy. It means can be treated with regular triple therapy at all. The last try was with Flexid as replacement for Clarithromycin. The epilog was quite bad because 2 hours after consummation I got prompt anti shock injection. To say I fell sick and desperate is mild expression of my real condition. I would be much more then grateful if you suggest me any other combination of drugs is as much efficient as drugs mentioned above or alternative...
Thanks a lot!
